In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke mentioned that Leeds United are hoping to land Leicester City midfielder Jordan James, who is currently playing on loan from Stade Rennais. It is believed that the Whites are eyeing a move to acquire the services of the Welsh talent this off-season.

The 21-year-old has managed to impress with his performances while on loan at Leicester this season. James has participated in 33 matches for the Foxes in this campaign so far, netting 11 goals and earning four assists in various competitions.

The Welsh sensation is currently among the best central midfielders in the EFL Championship. Hence, it is no surprise that Leeds United are showing interest in signing him in this upcoming transfer window.

His current contract at his parent club, Stade Rennais, will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Whites to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

James is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and can strike it with power from long range.

The Welsh talent can even engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to score. James can even chip in by scoring and creating a lot of important goals for his team. However, there are some concerns over whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Whites can get a deal done for him this summer.

James would inject more quality and depth into Leeds boss Daniel Farke’s midfield department. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Elland Road next season.

At 21, James has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each year. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Farke would be wise to try everything in his power to lure him to the West Yorkshire club in this summer transfer window.
