Lebanon County girls basketball made its mark on the state stage this past season, and now two of its brightest stars have earned prestigious recognition for their outstanding performances.
Following the 2026 campaign, Lebanon senior guard Olive Brandt and New Covenant Christian junior Qynne Demler were each named to the PIAA All-State Second Team, cementing their status among Pennsylvania's elite.
In Class 6A, Olive Brandt dominated the competition, finishing as the Lancaster-Lebanon League's top scorer with an impressive 24.6 points per game. Her offensive versatility was on full display; she wasn't just a volume shooter but a highly efficient floor general. Brandt knocked down nearly three three-pointers per game while aggressively attacking the rim, leading the league with 8.4 free-throw attempts per contest. This all-state selection is a fitting capstone to a remarkable high school career.
Meanwhile, in Class 1A, Qynne Demler powered New Covenant Christian to a historic season. The junior guard averaged 19.4 points per game and was instrumental in leading her team to its first-ever District 3 championship. Demler's consistent improvement was evident, as she ranked third in scoring among all Class A players in the L-L League. A dynamic scorer, she dropped a season-high 31 points twice and scored 20 or more in nearly half of her team's games, showcasing the clutch performance that defines a true playmaker.
Earning all-state honors is a testament to relentless dedication, skill, and leadership on the court. Congratulations to these exceptional athletes on a well-deserved achievement.
