The Lena-Winslow Panthers were right at home Thursday evening though they were the visiting team in their NUIC baseball game against Dakota.

The Lena-Winslow Panthers' offense was in high gear Thursday, putting on a 17-run showcase to secure a decisive NUIC conference victory over Dakota. Despite being the designated visiting team, the Panthers enjoyed home-field advantage after the game was relocated to Lena due to unplayable conditions at Dakota's field.

Le-Win wasted no time making themselves comfortable, exploding for five runs in the top of the first inning to set the tone. They broke the game wide open with a six-run fourth inning, demonstrating the relentless offensive pressure that has fueled their impressive 11-1 (4-0) start to the season.

Key performances powered the Panthers' dominant day at the plate. Aiden Wild was a force, driving in four runs and reaching base in all four of his plate appearances with a double and three walks. Freshman Dylan Madigan, batting near the bottom of the order, delivered a clutch three-hit, three-RBI performance, proving that production can come from anywhere in a potent lineup. On the mound, Koby Kearns earned the win with three innings of work.

Dakota (5-4, 2-2) showed fight at the plate, collecting ten hits as a team. Brix Woker led the effort with two hits and three RBIs, while Brayden Larson, Brookie Goode, and Liam Burke each added a pair of hits. Despite the offensive output, they couldn't contain the Panthers' explosive bats in this conference matchup.
