Free agent linebacker Kyle Van Noy has made his intentions clear: he wants to suit up for the San Francisco 49ers. During a recent appearance on the Up and Adams podcast with Kay Adams, the two-time Super Bowl champion didn't hold back when discussing his desire to join forces with All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner.
"I would really like to play with my little brother Fred Warner with the Niners. I think they got something cooking over there," Van Noy said. "I know they love Joey Bosa, because Nick and all that, I get that, but I would love to play with my little brother."
The 35-year-old veteran, who spent the 2025 season with the Baltimore Ravens, has long admired Warner's game. "That's my guy and I think they got something cooking over there. ... I would love to play with Frederico, a little bit," he added with a smile.
The 49ers have been actively looking to bolster their defensive front, whether on the line or at linebacker. Adding a seasoned player like Van Noy—who brings championship pedigree and relentless energy—could be a game-changer for a defense already loaded with talent.
When pressed by Adams about whether he or his agent have spoken with the 49ers' front office, Van Noy kept his cards close to his chest. "Honestly, I'm just enjoying my time. I'm enjoying the conversations I have with my agent. I'm enjoying the process," he said.
A potential pairing of Van Noy and Warner would create one of the most formidable linebacker duos in the league. For fans dreaming of a dominant 49ers defense, this is the kind of talk that gets the heart racing—and the jersey orders piling up.
