Lazio have been dealt a major blow ahead of Sunday's Derby della Capitale, with captain Mattia Zaccagni officially ruled out of the clash against arch-rivals Roma. The winger picked up a fresh muscle injury during Lazio's Coppa Italia final defeat to Inter Milan, capping off a frustrating campaign plagued by physical setbacks since pre-season.

With Zaccagni sidelined, the spotlight turns to who will fill his boots on the left wing. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, veteran Pedro is the frontrunner to start in what could be his final derby before retiring at season's end. Alternatively, Tijjani Noslin could shift to the flank, allowing Daniel Maldini to slot in as a center-forward.

La Gazzetta dello Sport offers a slightly different take, predicting Noslin will start on the left while Boulaye Dia leads the line ahead of Maldini. The pink paper also expects Matteo Cancellieri to replace Gustav Isaksen on the right wing, adding a fresh dynamic to Lazio's attack.

In midfield, Nicolo Rovella and Kenneth Taylor are all but guaranteed starters. The debate continues over the third midfield spot: GdS backs Toma Basic to keep his place, while La Lazio Siamo Noi suggests Fisayo Dele-Bashiru could take over on the right side of the trident.

Defensively, Alessio Romagnoli serves a suspension, meaning Mario Gila and Oliver Provstgaard will anchor the backline. Adam Marusic, despite an own goal in the final, remains Maurizio Sarri's trusted right-back. The left-back position, however, remains a toss-up: GdS favors Luca Pellegrini, while LLSN backs Nuno Tavares to retain his spot.

Lazio Probable XI (4-3-3): Motta; Marusic, Gila, Provstgaard, Pellegrini (Tavares); Basic (Dele-Bashiru), Rovella, Taylor; Cancellieri, Dia (Maldini/Pedro), Noslin

For fans gearing up for this high-stakes derby, every tactical tweak matters—and so does the gear. Whether you're backing Lazio's resilience or Roma's grit, make sure you're dressed for the occasion with the latest matchday essentials.
