The first-ever Monon Athletic Conference Meet kicked off with a bang on Friday night at Southmont High School, as the running events delivered plenty of drama despite rainy conditions that pushed field events to Saturday morning. The Stars shone brightest, claiming conference titles in both the boys' and girls' meets.

On the boys' side, Jaden Latham was the undisputed star of the track, sweeping the hurdles events in dominant fashion. He blazed through the 110-meter hurdles in 14.44 seconds, then returned to take the 300-meter hurdles in 41.46—a double victory that set the tone for the Stars' team triumph.

The girls' squad wasn't to be outdone, with Charlotte Stucky delivering a standout performance in the distance events. She powered to victory in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:31.14, showcasing the endurance that makes her a key asset for the team.

Other notable boys' performances included Malaki Christy, who grabbed third in the 100-meter dash (11.40 seconds) and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles (45.69). Brennen Bivens showed his versatility with a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:09.13), while Isaac Threlkeld (23.95) and Nate Thompson (24.03) went fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 200-meter dash. Eli Bishop added a seventh in the 800 (2:11.23), and Micah Farris rounded out the scoring with eighth in the 110-meter hurdles (18.28).

The relay teams also stepped up. The 4x800 squad of Bivens, Bishop, Brayden Schick, and Aiden Lester took fourth in 8:43.95. On the girls' side, River Roys was a force in the hurdles, placing third in the 300-meter hurdles (51.66) and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (18.04). Kate Higer delivered a strong fourth in the 400 meters (1:04.98), while Stucky backed up her title with a fifth-place run in the 1,600 meters (5:58.52). Alexa Massingill sprinted to sixth in the 100-meter dash (13.78), and Taylor Princell was a double threat, taking sixth in the 200 (29.05) and seventh in the 100 (13.94). Abigayle Humphrey claimed seventh in the 3,200 (13:34.30), and Joan Gearheart secured eighth in the 800 (2:44.98).

The girls' relays were equally impressive. The 4x800 team of Gearheart, Claire Torp, Lyla Kinsler, and Higer placed third in 10:52.48. The 4x100 squad of Roys, Jada Sanders, Massingill, and Princell matched that with a third-place finish in 53.23.
