Bayern Munich's Champions League journey came to a heartbreaking end tonight, and midfielder Konrad Laimer didn't hold back his frustration over what he called "really strange" refereeing decisions that shaped the match.

The Austrian international was left scratching his head after referee Artur Soares Dias penalized him for a handball that replays clearly showed never happened. The pivotal moment came in the first half when PSG's Nuno Mendes escaped a second yellow card—a decision that could have completely changed the complexion of the tie.

"You don't feel it during the game itself," Laimer told DAZN, still processing the controversial call. "I thought I had played the ball with my stomach, and then Mendes with his hand. The referee whistled for handball five seconds later. That's really strange."

The 28-year-old was equally baffled by the involvement of the fourth official in such a crucial decision. "Since when does the fourth official intervene in the game? I've never experienced that before. That would have been a decisive moment if PSG had lost a player so early."

Despite the 1-1 draw that sealed a 6-5 aggregate defeat, Laimer insisted Bayern weren't outplayed. "In games like these, it comes down to a few small details. I always felt we could turn things around. But today it wasn't enough. That's really tough."

The midfielder maintained his side showed dominance throughout the contest, with both teams creating chances in what was a tightly contested battle. "We felt we were dominant, we had our chances, PSG had theirs. In the end, it came down to details," he explained before heading to the dressing rooms, knowing that fine margins—and controversial calls—had ultimately decided Bayern's fate.
