On a beautiful Saturday perfect for track and field, the Batesville Lady Bulldogs sprinted and soared to a team victory at their home 3rd Annual Raver Relays. The seven-team meet, held to honor the legacy of the incredible coach Ron Raver and support his scholarship fund, was a showcase of speed and new standards, with seven meet records shattered throughout the day.

The Lady Bulldogs dominated the competition, amassing 116 points to claim the title ahead of Jennings County (91) and Decatur Central (62). The host squad's strength was on full display, particularly in the relay events where teamwork and endurance shone brightest.

Record-breaking performances were the story of the meet. The Lady Bulldogs' 4x800 relay team of Bayleigh Demaree, Jayla Bedel, Caitlin Raver, and Ava Wade demolished the old mark by nearly 14 seconds. That same quartet later teamed up to smash the Distance Medley Relay record by over 30 seconds, a staggering margin that speaks to their collective stamina and drive. Not to be outdone, the Bulldogs' boys 4x800 relay team of Cannon Clark, Cash Myers, Levi Essick, and Griffin Koester also etched their names in the record books, breaking the old standard by an impressive nine seconds.

Beyond the relays, Batesville athletes showed their versatility, securing first-place medals in nine individual events and setting 16 new personal records—a true testament to a day of peak performance. The meet was a fitting tribute, blending fierce competition with heartfelt remembrance, and proving that the competitive spirit Coach Raver inspired is alive and well on the track.
