The Henderson Silver Knights beat the Colorado Eagles 4-3 in double overtime to draw the Pacific Division Semifinals level in the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs.

The Henderson Silver Knights have evened the Pacific Division Semifinals at one game apiece, pulling off a dramatic 4-3 double-overtime victory over the Colorado Eagles in a thrilling Calder Cup Playoffs showdown.

It was a night of resilience for Henderson, who came out slow but found their rhythm when it mattered most. After managing just one shot in the first six-and-a-half minutes, the Silver Knights struck first at the 7:12 mark of the opening period. Forward Jonas Rondbjerg stripped the puck from Colorado's Taylor Makar in the right faceoff circle, creating a loose puck that Braeden Bowman hammered home with a one-timer past Eagles goaltender Trent Miner.

Henderson found their legs late in the period, recording four of their eight shots in the final 6:43. One of those chances, a Ben Hemmerling attempt that Miner denied, resulted in a rebound that Tanner Laczynski easily buried into an open net. However, the goal was waved off due to an early goalie interference penalty on Hemmerling, leaving the score 1-0 at the first intermission.

The Eagles answered back early in the second period. At the 4:07 mark, a Henderson turnover in their own zone allowed Colorado forward TJ Hughes to pounce and tie the game. The Eagles then took control, holding the Silver Knights without a shot for over eight minutes while registering five of their own. That pressure paid off when forward Alex Barre-Boulet scored to give Colorado a 2-1 lead. But Henderson refused to fold, and despite being outshot 11-8 in the period, defenseman Lukas Cormier buried the equalizer to send the game to the third period tied at 2-2.

The Silver Knights came out flying in the third, firing the first nine shots of the frame in the opening 5:19. But hockey is a game of momentum swings, and Colorado capitalized on a 3-on-1 rush, with TJ Tynan scoring on their first shot of the period to put the Eagles up 3-2. Henderson's response was immediate—just 28 seconds later, defenseman Viliam Kmec found the back of the net to tie the game again, setting the stage for an unforgettable overtime.

The first overtime period was a goaltender's duel, with both netminders standing tall under immense pressure. But it was Laczynski who would ultimately play the hero, scoring the game-winner in double overtime to send the Henderson faithful into a frenzy. With the series now tied 1-1, the Silver Knights have all the momentum heading into Game 3.
