Kyle Van Noy is making it crystal clear: he's not done yet. The veteran edge rusher, who became a free agent after three seasons in Baltimore, took to "Up & Adams" this week to declare he's "never been more motivated to play football." And with the 2026 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, teams still hunting for pass-rush help should be paying close attention.
Van Noy's top target? A return to the Ravens. After all, Baltimore is where he enjoyed a career renaissance, posting a personal-best 12.5 sacks in 2024. He says the door remains open and that his relationship with team brass is strong. But with summer approaching and no deal signed, the 35-year-old is keeping his options wide open—and he's not shy about making a bold promise.
"I'm gonna get double-digit sacks for whoever picks me up," Van Noy said. "That's my energy and that's my mindset. You could say whatever you want—'No one wants a 35-year-old.' I promise, you want this 35-year-old."
It's a confident claim from a player who saw his production dip in 2025, finishing with just two sacks and four tackles for loss—his lowest totals since 2016. But his first two seasons in Baltimore were some of the best of his 12-year career, and he's betting on a bounce-back year. The Ravens, who are eyeing another deep playoff run, would certainly welcome that kind of veteran stability.
However, one major offseason move complicated things. Baltimore made a splash by signing Trey Hendrickson, a division-rattling acquisition that shifted the depth chart and made Van Noy expendable. Still, the veteran remains optimistic about a reunion—and he's also eyeing another intriguing destination: the San Francisco 49ers.
As Van Noy prepares for his 13th NFL season, he's not just looking for a roster spot. He wants to be part of a team that's ready to go all-in. And with that kind of fire still burning, it's only a matter of time before someone gives him that chance.
