Los Angeles continued its struggles on the road in a lopsided defeat north of the border.

Sometimes, a game gets away from you. And on Saturday afternoon in Toronto, the Angels watched theirs vanish in a single, disastrous inning.

Jack Kochanowicz was cruising through four innings, allowing just one run on five hits while building off a promising 6.1-inning start against the Mets. But the fifth inning? That's where the wheels came off. A leadoff walk to Addison Barger opened the floodgates, and three consecutive singles from Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Kazuma Okamoto, and Jesús Sánchez pushed the Blue Jays ahead 3-0.

Then came the kind of moment that haunts pitchers. Kochanowicz fielded a routine comebacker from Daulton Varsho, but his throw to first sailed wide, allowing another run to score. By the time he was pulled, he'd surrendered four runs in the frame—and his second loss of the season.

But the Angels' misery didn't end there. Reliever Mitch Farris entered and immediately served up a three-run homer to Brandon Valenzuela. An inning later, Ernie Clement went deep to make it 9-0. By the time the dust settled on the fifth, Toronto had scored seven runs.

With the game out of reach, infielder Adam Frazier took the mound in the eighth—always a sign of a long day. He allowed four more runs on five hits, including a solo shot from Sánchez that marked Toronto's third home run of the game.

At the plate? The Angels managed just one run—their first of the series—when Frazier doubled down the right-field line in the eighth. But by then, the 14-1 deficit was insurmountable.

The loss drops Los Angeles to 15-25 overall and a brutal 7-15 on the road. With just one run scored through the first two games of the series, the Angels will need a quick turnaround—or risk being swept north of the border.
