Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel has opened the door for a potential reunion with Jadon Sancho, as transfer speculation continues to swirl around the English winger's future.

Sancho first made a name for himself in the Bundesliga during a stunning four-year stint with Dortmund from 2017 to 2021. His dazzling dribbling and creative flair made him one of the league's most exciting talents, eventually earning him a big-money move to Manchester United. But after struggling to replicate that form in the Premier League, he returned to Signal Iduna Park on loan for the second half of the 2023/24 season.

Now, with his United contract set to expire this summer, rumors of a third Dortmund spell are heating up. And Kobel, for one, is all for it.

"When he came back to us, his presence was very beneficial," Kobel told Ruhr Nachrichten on the "19:09 Talk" show. "Even if the stats perhaps weren't as strong as during his first spell, I'd be happy to see him back with us again with that same attitude."

Sancho is currently on loan at Aston Villa for the 2024/25 campaign, where he's managed one goal and three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions. While those numbers might not scream "must-sign," Kobel's comments suggest Dortmund's dressing room believes Sancho still has plenty to offer in black and yellow.
