Game 1 went about as good as the Knicks could’ve hoped, but they know they have to stay focused heading into Game 2.

The New York Knicks couldn't have scripted a better start to their second-round playoff series. In a dominant Game 1 performance, they stormed out of the gates on their home court, setting the tone with a resounding 39-point victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. It was a statement win that showcased the Knicks at their absolute best.

Defensively, New York was relentless, shutting down the 76ers' dynamic duo of Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. The star pair managed just 27 combined points and only six field goals on the night, a testament to the Knicks' suffocating game plan. On the offensive end, the team clicked like a well-oiled machine, with every player who stepped on the floor contributing to the scoreboard. They shot an incredible 63 percent from the field as a unit, leaving the 76ers scrambling for answers.

"We played a full game of Knicks basketball," said Josh Hart, reflecting on the team's cohesive effort. Head coach Mike Brown added, "I thought it was a really good game by our guys." The win was the latest in what has been a historic stretch for New York. They've now won four straight games by a combined 135 points, the largest point differential in any four-game span in NBA playoff history.

But despite the lopsided victory, the Knicks are keeping their focus sharp. They know the playoffs are a marathon, not a sprint, and that complacency can be a dangerous opponent. "It's good, but it's just one game," cautioned Mikal Bridges. "It goes back to 0-0 in Game 2." Jalen Brunson echoed that sentiment, adding, "You've got to take this with a grain of salt and just move forward. I don't think we're going to see that team that we saw in Game 1 out there in Game 2 -- they're going to be ready to go."

As the Knicks prepare for Game 2, they understand that the 76ers will come out with adjustments and a renewed sense of urgency. For New York, the key will be maintaining that same level of intensity and execution. If they can do that, they'll be well on their way to building on this historic start. But as Brunson and Bridges reminded everyone, the series is far from over.
