At times this season, Karl-Anthony Towns looked uncomfortable in the Knicks' offense, including in their first-round series against the Hawks, but that changed after Game 3.

When the Knicks acquired Karl-Anthony Towns, expectations were sky-high, but the reality didn't always match the hype. For much of the season, fans and analysts debated his fit: Was he getting enough touches? Were the pick-and-rolls working? Could he and Jalen Brunson truly coexist? Every game brought fresh scrutiny over his shot selection, post-ups, and even his body language.

But as the first-round playoff series against the Hawks heated up, something clicked. After falling behind 2-1, the Knicks coaching staff made a pivotal adjustment. Head coach Mike Brown and his team tweaked the offense to "find more ways to put our guys in their strengths while getting to it quickly." The solution? Get the ball to Towns at the top of the floor.

The results were nothing short of spectacular. In Game 4, Towns dished out 10 assists, and he never looked back. Over the next three wins, he averaged 8.7 assists and 11.6 rebounds per game, posting triple-doubles in two of those contests. Even more impressive, the Knicks outscored Atlanta by a staggering 62 points with Towns on the court during Games 4, 5, and 6.

"He's played phenomenal," Brunson said of his teammate. "The way we've been able to trust each other, all of us obviously including him, it's been great."

Towns' impact wasn't just on offense. Teammate Josh Hart praised his defensive energy, noting, "To start the game blitzing, protecting the rim, he had some big blocks, his energy was huge for us. I just think the physicality, the attention to detail, focus on the gameplan, I think all those are at a very high level."

It wasn't always this smooth. Back in October, when asked about his role in Brown's system, Towns gave a candid, uncertain response: "Honestly, I don't know. I don't know. But we're figuring it out." Fast forward to now, and the Knicks have clearly found their rhythm. With Towns playing at an elite level on both ends of the floor, New York looks ready to make a deep playoff run—and the conversation about his fit has finally been put to rest.
