Tennessee Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell has made a strategic addition to her staff, announcing the hiring of assistant coach Isoken Uzamere. Uzamere joins the storied program after most recently serving as an assistant coach at SEC rival Georgia, bringing valuable conference experience directly to Knoxville.
"We are thrilled to welcome Isoken Uzamere to our staff," said Caldwell. "She is highly-regarded in our profession and has consistently demonstrated the skill set and personal characteristics to be a valued contributor in her previous stops. We are very happy to have her join our program."
This hire signals Caldwell's intent to build a formidable staff as she enters a crucial phase with the Lady Vols. Uzamere's coaching journey includes a six-year stint at UCF (2016-22) and time at Albany, where she ascended from graduate assistant to full-time assistant coach. Her understanding of player development and program building will be key assets.
Uzamere's perspective is also shaped by her own playing career as a forward at Hofstra from 2007-11. That firsthand experience, combined with her extensive coaching resume, provides a well-rounded approach to mentoring the next generation of Lady Vols.
As the program prepares for Caldwell's third season at the helm in 2026-27, this appointment strengthens the foundation for future success in the highly competitive SEC landscape.
