Khamzat Chimaev is getting right back on the horse after his stunning loss to Sean Strickland.

Khamzat Chimaev isn't one to dwell on defeat. Just days after his shocking loss to Sean Strickland cost him the UFC middleweight title, the Swedish-born powerhouse is already back in action—this time on the wrestling mats.

Chimaev, 32, will make his debut with the upstart Real American Freestyle (RAF) league on June 13 at RAF 10, facing fellow MMA veteran Dillon Danis. The event takes place inside the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, and promises to be a must-watch for combat sports fans.

Chimaev's signing with RAF was first announced in April at RAF 8, and it didn't take long for the promotion to book him a high-profile opponent. Known for his relentless wrestling, Chimaev rode that skill to a perfect 9-0 start in the UFC and captured the middleweight title—until Strickland pulled off a stunning upset at UFC 328 this past Saturday. But for a fighter who was a three-time Swedish Freestyle National Champion (2016-2018), the mats are familiar territory.

Danis, 32, is no stranger to the spotlight. A decorated jiu-jitsu black belt, he made his RAF debut in March at RAF 7, losing via tech fall (14-4) to former UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington. Since then, he's kept busy, most recently capturing the inaugural Misfits MMA title in August with a lightning-fast 15-second submission win over Warren Spencer. With a background in both MMA and boxing, Danis brings a gritty, well-rounded game to the table.

RAF 10 is shaping up to be a stacked card, with other UFC veterans like Arman Tsarukyan, Aaron Pico, and Tony Ferguson also set to compete. For Chimaev, this is more than just a rebound fight—it's a chance to remind the world why his wrestling once made him unbeatable.
