The former Baylor standout and transfer portal prospect says he is fully focused on staying in the NBA Draft process.

Tounde Yessoufou, the dynamic former Baylor guard, made headlines Wednesday at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago—but not for the reason Kentucky fans were hoping. The 6-foot-5 standout, who has been a hot name in both the NBA Draft and transfer portal, doubled down on his professional ambitions, leaving little room for speculation about a return to college basketball.

Speaking with CBS Sports' Isaac Trotter, Yessoufou was direct when asked about the possibility of withdrawing from the draft and heading back to campus. "To be honest, I've never thought about that one because I'm not planning on returning," he said. "Again, my main focus is just the draft."

It's a bold stance from a player who has plenty of options. Yessoufou officially entered the transfer portal just before the April deadline, initially framing it as a way to test the NBA waters. But now, with the draft process in full swing, he's all-in on the next level.

His freshman season at Baylor was nothing short of electric. Yessoufou started all 34 games, averaging 17.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 46.5% from the field. Known for his explosive athleticism and smooth transition scoring, he quickly became one of the most exciting young guards in the country.

For Kentucky, this news is a mixed bag. The Wildcats were among Yessoufou's finalists coming out of high school before he chose Baylor, and they remain in the market for an impact forward or wing. But with Yessoufou locked in on the draft, Kentucky's attention may shift elsewhere—though buzz has pointed to UCLA as a potential landing spot if he does decide to return, given his West Coast roots.

In the meantime, Kentucky continues to monitor other NBA Draft prospects in the transfer portal, including names like Milan Momcilovic and Elijah Graves. As for Yessoufou, it's all about the draft—and he's not looking back.
