Kent Spitfires have bolstered their squad for the 2026 T20 Blast with the signing of South African batting all-rounder Dian Forrester.

The 25-year-old brings a wealth of international experience, having earned five T20 caps for his country. His familiarity with the Kent setup comes through a previous stint with captain Sam Billings at Rawalpindi Pindiz in the Pakistan Super League (PSL)—a connection that should help him hit the ground running at the Spitfires.

Forrester's T20 credentials are impressive: in 36 appearances, he has scored 681 runs and taken 11 wickets, while also contributing 83 runs for South Africa. This all-round ability makes him a valuable asset in the fast-paced format.

He joins as a direct replacement for Senuran Muthusamy, who has been ruled out of the tournament after sustaining a knee injury during domestic cricket in South Africa.

"I'm really excited to be playing for Kent in the Vitality Blast," Forrester said. "Talking to Sam Billings and Justin Kemp about the history of the club and how they love it made me also want to be part of that history, and write my own this summer. I can't wait to play in front of packed crowds at Canterbury and give my best for the club."

For fans heading to the Spitfires' home matches, this signing adds depth to a lineup already packed with firepower. As the T20 Blast continues to evolve, having a player who can both clear the ropes and chip in with key wickets is exactly the kind of versatility that wins tight games.
