The Kansas City Mavericks shared plans for the potential Western Conference Finals of their playoff run this season amid scheduling conflicts.

The Kansas City Mavericks are making sure their historic season doesn't hit any unexpected roadblocks—even when it comes to scheduling conflicts. With a potential Western Conference Finals appearance on the horizon, the team has announced a venue plan to keep the playoff momentum alive at Cable Dahmer Arena.

If the Mavericks advance to Round 3, the games are set for May 22 and 23 on the main ice at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence. But the path there requires some creative scheduling. Should the team need a Round 2 series, games on May 19 and 20 will move to the Community Ice Rink within the same arena due to graduation ceremonies. However, those games won't be open to the public—a tough break for fans, but a necessary compromise.

"This was important to get right," said James Arkell, COO of the Kansas City Mavericks. "Our fans have been incredible all season, and making sure we could continue playing in front of them at Cable Dahmer Arena was a priority. We appreciate the City and Oak View Group for working with us to find a solution."

It's been a season to remember for the Mavericks. They finished with the best overall record in the ECHL, earning the Brabham Cup as regular-season champions. That kind of dominance sets the stage for a deep playoff run, and the team just signed a three-year extension to keep calling Cable Dahmer Arena home.

"We understand how much Mavericks hockey means to our community, especially during such a season like this," said Assistant City Manager Charlie Dissell. "There were some real scheduling conflicts to work through, but this is what collaboration looks like. We're excited to welcome fans back for the next round as the Mavericks advance."

The action kicks off this Saturday with the Mountain Division Finals series opener against the Allen Americans. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m., and the energy is already building. Whether it's on the main ice or the community rink, the Mavericks are ready to chase the Kelly Cup—and they're bringing their fans along for every shift.
