The New York Giants parted ways with star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, and the team could once again part ways with a standout player along the defensive front.
Entering Day 2 of the draft on Friday night, trade rumors surrounding pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux began to intensify.
According to reports, the New Orleans Saints are among the teams showing strong interest in Thibodeaux, who becomes expendable after the team selected Ohio State star Arvell Reese with the No. 5 overall pick.
The idea that Thibodeaux could be on the outs only intensified after a social media post from the pass rusher just before the second round kicked off.
Thibodeaux shared an edit from Fast & Furious, featuring the quote, “You thought you could leave without saying goodbye…”
Throughout his four seasons with the Giants, the 25-year-old Thibodeaux has recorded 23.5 sacks.
Last season, Thibodeaux was limited to just 10 games, recording 25 tackles, nine quarterback hits, and 2.5 sacks.
Day 2 of the draft kicked off at 7:00 p.m. ET on ABC, ESPN, and the NFL Network, so be sure to tune in to see if Thibodeaux is on the move.
