The Giants raised some eyebrows with the first of their two top-10 picks in Thursday night's first round of the 2026 NFL draft.
Rather than draft some help on the offensive end, they chose to add an edge rusher at pick No. 5, selecting former Ohio State star Arvell Reese. Though he was viewed as one of the draft's top edge rushers, Reese now joins a room that already includes Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Abdul Carter, last year's No. 3 pick.
It's led to speculation that Thibodeaux could find himself on the trade block, and he didn't do much to squash those rumors with a cryptic post on his Instagram story.

Thibodeaux was a top-five pick himself for New York in 2021, but after an 11.5-sack season in 2023, he has battled injuries and only appeared in 22 games over the last two seasons. In that span, he has eight sacks.
Though the Giants may no longer have much need for him, he's just 25 and would likely have several potential trade suitors. New York picked up his fifth-year option, and he's set to make $14.8 million this season while playing on an expiring deal.
