Michael Kayode is flattered by Juventus’ interest, but the Italy Under-21 star has made it crystal clear: he’s not packing his bags for a Serie A return anytime soon. The 21-year-old right-back, now in his second season with Brentford, has found a home in West London—and he’s not ready to leave.

"This is a fantastic world, where I feel so well," Kayode said. "Brentford have a fantastic project. I was lucky to find this club, which we hope to bring to Europe in the last two games of the season."

Currently the Italian player with the most Premier League appearances this season, Kayode is soaking up every moment of England’s top flight. He didn’t hold back when describing the league: "The Premier League is the Disneyland of world football. It’s all perfect, and I’m so happy here. There isn’t a more competitive league in terms of structure, quality of play, and players."

When asked about the toughest opponents he’s faced, Kayode pointed to Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku ("impressive technique and speed"), Erling Haaland ("a goal machine"), and Bruno Fernandes ("an incredible ability to manage the ball").

Kayode’s journey to Brentford wasn’t straightforward. He spent time in Juventus’ academy as a kid, only to be let go at 14. That rejection stung, but it fueled his rise. "I have no regrets about that period, even if they rejected me," he said. "They saw something in me, and I enjoyed every year in Vinovo. It was a blow, but I always picked myself back up."

Now, with Juventus circling once again, Kayode isn’t tempted. "Honestly, I’m not thinking about my return to Italy. I just want to do well, improve at Brentford, and continue developing at this club."

For fans of the Bees, that’s music to their ears. And for anyone tracking the next big thing in football, Kayode’s loyalty—and talent—is worth watching closely.
