"After much thought and discussion, Katie and I have decided to conclude our skating partnership," Parkman wrote. He expressed pride in their shared achievements and gratitude for the support from coaches, families, and the skating community. McBeath, 31, and Parkman, 26, most recently earned bronze at the 2026 Prevagen U.S. Championships in January. However, their Olympic aspirations were always complicated by Parkman's citizenship status—he previously competed for Georgia and does not hold U.S. citizenship, making them ineligible for the Olympic team.

Despite this limitation, the pair represented the United States internationally, finishing 12th at the World Championships in March. That event marked their final competition together, closing a chapter that saw them rise from relative obscurity to consistent national medal contenders.
