Katherine Legge is once again chasing history, and this weekend, she's doing it on two wheels—or rather, two very different sets of four.

The British driver rolls into Watkins Glen for her first NASCAR Cup Series start of the season, taking the green flag from the 38th position in the No. 78 Live Fast Motorsports Chevrolet. It's her eighth career Cup start, and she's bringing along a familiar partner: e.l.f. Cosmetics, a brand that's been backing her push to break barriers in motorsports.

But the real story begins the moment she crosses the finish line in New York. Legge will immediately jet off to Indiana, where practice is already underway for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500. Driving the No. 11 Chevrolet in a joint effort between HMD Motorsports and the legendary A.J. Foyt Enterprises, she's set to make her fifth appearance in IndyCar's crown jewel event.

After splitting time between the Cup Series and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2025, fans have been buzzing about a tantalizing possibility: Could Legge attempt the ultimate endurance challenge—the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 double on the same day?

“Yes. I think it would be awesome,” Legge said. “A lot of people have mentioned that, and I think it would definitely be something that e.l.f. would be willing to do, because they want to do all the groundbreaking, really cool stuff there. I hope that I get the opportunity one day down the road.”

The Double is motorsports' most grueling one-day test: 1,100 miles split between the world's most famous open-wheel race and NASCAR's longest event. Two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Larson was the latest to attempt it, but only Tony Stewart has ever completed the full distance—back in 2001.

At 45 years old, Legge would become the oldest driver to ever attempt the feat. But she's not intimidated. With years of experience in some of North America's toughest endurance races under her belt, she knows what it takes to go the distance.

“I think I'm in a unique position where I've done a lot of miles in whatever I've driven,” Legge said. “I was telling somebody the other day that in 2017, I did a triple stint in the car...”

For now, it's all about sponsorship lining up. But if the right partners come aboard, don't be surprised to see Legge take on one of the toughest challenges in motorsports—and maybe make a little history along the way.
