Katherine Legge is doing The Double. With support from e.l.f., she'll be the first woman to attempt the Indy 500 and Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

Katherine Legge has never been one to shy away from a challenge. Over a motorsports career spanning nearly three decades, she's raced Ferraris in Bahrain, Audis in Germany, and competed in the A1 Grand Prix, Formula E, and the IMSA SportsCar Championship. She's also taken on the Indianapolis 500 and the NASCAR Cup Series.

Now, the 45-year-old native of England is set to make history by attempting both on the same day. Legge will become the first woman to tackle "The Double" — racing in the Indy 500 and then flying to Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24. She confirmed her plans in an exclusive interview with USA TODAY Sports.

"It's an exciting time," Legge said. "It's another groundbreaking thing that I can showcase to the world. If you set your mind to things, you can do anything, and you can do things that maybe you never even dreamt of before."

With support from e.l.f. Cosmetics, Legge is ready to take on one of motorsports' ultimate endurance tests. The Double requires not only elite driving skills but also incredible physical and mental stamina, as drivers must navigate two of the most demanding races in the world on the same day. For Legge, it's a chance to inspire others and push the boundaries of what's possible in racing.
