In a move that adds depth and practice intensity to the Kansas State basketball program, new head coach Casey Alexander has secured a commitment from Nashville prospect Nash Stark. The 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward out of Lipscomb Academy announced his decision on Monday, May 4, just weeks after receiving a preferred walk-on offer from Belmont.
Stark, who was named an All-Midstate Large Class second-teamer by The Tennessean, brings versatility and a strong work ethic to the Wildcats' roster. While he may not be a rotational player right away, Alexander emphasized the importance of having an extra body for practices—a role Stark is perfectly suited for. His addition also highlights Alexander's ability to attract talent from his former Belmont connections, as Stark had been recruited by Division II baseball programs as well.
With Stark on board, Kansas State's roster now sits at 14 players, leaving room for one more if needed. He joins fellow incoming freshmen Devin Hutcherson and Jaylen Alexander, both of whom followed Alexander from Belmont. The Wildcats' lineup also features a strong mix of transfers, including Pape N'Diaye (Xavier), Timotej Malovec (Miami), Montana Wheeler (Bradley), JT Rock (New Mexico), Matt Gilhool (LSU), Jaden Schutt (Virginia Tech), Brandon Rechsteiner (Colorado State), Dezdrick Lindsay (Oregon), and Brock Vice (Murray State).
This latest addition signals that Alexander is building a competitive and well-rounded squad for the 2026-27 season. Whether Stark develops into a key contributor or remains a practice standout, his commitment underscores the program's growing depth and the new coaching staff's strategic approach to roster construction.
