Juventus are making a major statement of intent, locking down a key piece of their midfield for the long haul. The club is closing in on a contract extension for Italian international Manuel Locatelli that will keep him in Turin until 2030.

This new deal represents a significant commitment from both sides. Not only does it add two more years to his previous 2028 expiry, but it also comes with a well-deserved pay rise, boosting his salary to an estimated €4 million per season. The official signing is reportedly scheduled for April 17th.

Since his €37.5 million move from Sassuolo in 2021, Locatelli has become a midfield linchpin for the Bianconeri. With over 200 appearances, a Coppa Italia title in 2024, and his crucial role in Italy's Euro 2020 triumph, he has proven his worth as a reliable and technically gifted engine in the center of the park.

This renewal continues Juventus's strategy of securing their core talent, following recent new deals for young star Kenan Yildiz, midfielder Weston McKennie, and coach Luciano Spalletti. With Locatelli's future now seemingly settled, the club's focus can shift to other priorities, like resolving the contract situation of star striker Dusan Vlahovic.
