Justin Hicks is stepping onto a new stage, but he's no stranger to the spotlight. The 51-year-old Wellington resident is set to make his debut at the Senior PGA Championship this week at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, bringing with him a wealth of recent major championship experience.
While this marks his first appearance in this particular senior major, Hicks arrives with his game sharpened by the toughest tests in golf. Just last year, he successfully qualified for and competed in two of the PGA Tour's premier events: the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow and the U.S. Open at the notoriously difficult Oakmont.
That recent run gives him a unique edge in the field. In fact, Hicks played in more majors in 2025 than any other player in this week's Senior PGA Championship, aside from past champions Zach Johnson and Padraig Harrington. Reflecting on those tests, Hicks noted, "They were two of the more memorable ones for me... Everything about your game was really tested."
This blend of veteran poise and recent high-level competition makes Hicks a compelling story at The Concession. As he transitions to the PGA Tour Champions, his journey from qualifying for the sport's biggest events to now chasing a senior major title is a testament to enduring skill and competitive fire—a narrative that resonates with any golfer who loves the game at every level.
