Serge Gnabry was in the midst of a comeback season making significant strides towards a more consistent performance over the season thus far until the Bayern Munich attacker suffered an injury in training. Gnabry who was a key player for both Bayern and the German national team will not be available for Julian Nagelsmann’s squad this summer.

A massive setback for both the player, Bayern, and Germany who have some seriously important matches in the coming months. After hearing the news, Nagelsmann has now made a comment on his player’s injury.

“I feel very sorry for Serge. This is particularly bitter news at the end of the season, with so many big and important games coming up. We were in touch last night and I told him that we all stand behind him in the national team as well. We will all support him in the best way possible so that he can get back on the pitch as soon as possible. Get well soon, Serge,” said Nagelsmann (as captured by @iMiaSanMia)

As a fan it hurts to see, but you can only imagine how disappointing it must feel for Gnabry who is in good form and had the chance to be part of something special with Bayern Munich and the national team in the coming months. Get better soon Serge!
