Rick Barnes details Juke Harris transferring to Tennessee basketball.

When a player like Juke Harris decides to wear your colors, you take notice. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound guard officially committed to Tennessee basketball on Monday, bringing his explosive talent and two years of eligibility to Rocky Top.

Head coach Rick Barnes, now in his 12th season leading the Vols, didn't hold back when describing what Harris brings to the program. "We are thrilled Juke made the decision to join our program at Tennessee," Barnes said. "Juke is not only an explosive talent, but also a humble young man from a great family."

And that explosiveness? It's the kind that changes games. "One of the premier scorers nationally, he possesses the ability to put the ball in the basket in numerous ways, from all over the floor," Barnes added. "Juke can take over a game and impose his will at any time."

Harris arrives in Knoxville after a standout stint at Wake Forest, where he appeared in 64 games with 36 starts from 2024-26. His stat line tells the story of a versatile playmaker: 14.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while logging 28.1 minutes on the floor.

Barnes sees Harris as more than just a scorer, though. "He is a versatile player who can handle the ball in transition and has the length to make an impact defensively." That combination of offensive firepower and defensive potential is exactly what Tennessee looks for in building a championship-caliber roster.

The Vols had their eyes on Harris since his high school days, making him a top priority when the transfer portal opened. "He fits well with the roster we have assembled," Barnes said, hinting at big things ahead for a Tennessee squad that continues to reload with elite talent.

For Vols fans, the message is clear: Juke Harris isn't just joining the team—he's coming to take over.
