Jrue Holiday hopes to remain in Portland

In a refreshing display of loyalty, Trail Blazers guard Jrue Holiday has expressed a strong desire to remain in Portland beyond the current season. Following Portland's playoff exit at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs, Holiday made his intentions clear in an interview with Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.

"I hope so," Holiday said when asked about returning for the 2026/27 season. "I don't like being traded and moved and stuff. I like being a part of something and building with the team and seeing the progress and going through the progress with them. So I hope so. I'd love to be here."

The veteran guard's commitment comes at a time when player movement often dominates headlines. Holiday, known for his tenacious defense and steady leadership, seems to value continuity over the constant shuffle of today's NBA landscape.

What's driving his optimism? It's the grit and hunger he witnessed from his teammates down the stretch. "Honestly, just kind of how we ended the season, fighting and clawing, knowing that we have a team that has proven ourselves to some extent to be a playoff team," Holiday explained. "We have a good mix of older gentlemen and then young guys that are still hungry. You hear them. They're still in the gym now and it's been two days (since) we lost in the playoffs. So I'm really excited for that."

For Blazers fans, that kind of dedication is exactly what builds championship culture. And for those looking to rep their team with the same passion, there's no better time to grab some fresh Trail Blazers gear to show your support for a squad that's ready to build something special.
