One of the major concerns surrounding the New Orleans Saints' first-round selection in 2026, Jordyn Tyson, was that he had a relatively extensive injury history heading into the NFL. From 2022 to 2025, he missed 16 games with knee, collarbone, and hamstring injuries all occurring. Thankfully, they are all unrelated injuries, and he has been able to recover from each fully.
Now, he has a plan in place to help maintain better health and ensure his injury history remains in the past. When interviewed by New Orleans media immediately after the selection, he discussed looking to bring in a personal chef and spoke with Hines Ward on how to stay healthy.
Jordyn Tyson said "I'm going to give myself the best opportunity to stay on the field and be as healthy as possible." He rattled off everything he's going to do to try to stay healthy, which included a personal chef. He said he's talked with Hines Ward about things he can do.
This is a promising sign, as the young talent looks to try to truly improve his health and ensure he can be as available as physically possible for the Saints in the future. He has all the talent in the world and really could step up as a true dominant X receiver for the team, so seeing him protect his body before he even steps on the field is a great sign of both character and proactiveness.
