Auburn women's tennis head coach Jordan Szabo has been named SEC Coach of the Year by the conference office.
It has been many accomplishments for the Auburn women's tennis program this year, and now added to that list is Szabo taking home SEC Coach of the Year. Szabo has led the Tigers to their first SEC regular season title and their first SEC tournament championship.
This is his second year on the plains, and he has the Tigers at 32-3 this season. Auburn is ranked No. 1 in the ITA National Team Rankings as of Tuesday, Apr. 21. and the team has a total of 12 wins over top-25 teams this year.
The is first time an Auburn coach has taken home that honor since the 2002 season, where Troy Porco led the Tigers that year. Auburn now prepares for the national championship tournament with the tournament selection show set for Monday, Apr. 27.
