Jon Jones has never been one to shy away from a bold statement, and his latest jab at Daniel Cormier proves the fire between these two UFC legends still burns bright.

While the MMA world recently witnessed Sean Strickland and Khamzat Chimaev settle their differences after UFC 328, Jones and Cormier continue to trade verbal blows nearly a decade after their first clash. But according to Jones, there's no rivalry here—just a one-sided record that speaks for itself.

Speaking on ALF Global's "Alf Reality" series, Jones dismissed the notion that he and Cormier are equals in the octagon. "Everyone feels as if we have a big rivalry," Jones said. "Rivalries usually happen when one person is one win and one person is one win. I have two wins. There's no rivalry. Not only is there not a rivalry, he's not even my toughest opponent."

Jones, who defeated Cormier twice in UFC light heavyweight title fights (though their rematch was overturned to a no contest due to a failed drug test), ranked the former double champion as only his third toughest opponent. He placed Alexander Gustafsson and Dominick Reyes ahead of Cormier on his personal list of career challenges.

Cormier, never one to let a slight slide, responded with characteristic fire. When asked if he hates Jones, his answer was immediate and emphatic: "Yes. It's very easy. It's like, very easy. It's a one-word answer. You don't need to go over this, this, this: Yes."

For fans who grew up watching these two define an era of MMA, the ongoing tension is both nostalgic and entertaining. Whether it's Jones downplaying the rivalry or Cormier refusing to let go, one thing is clear—some battles transcend the cage. And for those looking to channel that competitive spirit, a fresh fight kit might be just what you need to step into your own arena.
