The Giants have talked to receiver Odell Beckham Jr. about a potential reunion.

The New York Giants and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. are exploring the possibility of a reunion, with ongoing conversations that have captured the attention of NFL fans everywhere. Head coach John Harbaugh revealed to reporters on Saturday that he has spoken with Beckham "probably three or four times in the last week" to gauge where both sides stand.

"I think the goal for right now is for him to train and get as ready as he can be, and then we'll see where we're at at that time," Harbaugh explained. "It's got to be right for both parties, and Odell wants to be the kind of player that can make a difference. I'm pretty sure that he can make a team in the National Football League right now. But can he make a difference? Is it something he wants to do? And is his body gonna hold up in the way he wants it to? And all those things are questions that need to get answered for anybody at that age, you know?"

Harbaugh, who coached Beckham in Baltimore during the 2023 season, acknowledged the receiver's trademark confidence. "Now, you know Odell, he's confident, man. He's confident, he's working hard, and he believes in himself. So, I think we'll just play it out over the next month and into training camp, and see where we're at."

This cautious approach suggests a gap between how Beckham views his potential impact and how the Giants see it. The veteran receiver likely envisions a prominent role in the offense, but New York may be hesitant to promise a top spot in the pecking order. There's also the practical reality of roster construction: if a player lands lower on the depth chart, special teams duty often follows—a role many established stars, especially those in the latter stages of their careers, are reluctant to embrace.

Beckham last took the field during the 2024 season. The year prior, he played for Harbaugh in Baltimore, recording 35 receptions for 565 yards. His last 1,000-yard campaign came seven years ago, during his first season with the Cleveland Browns. Before that, Beckham was a superstar in New York, posting four 1,000-yard seasons in five years with the Giants.

As training camp approaches, all eyes will be on whether this reunion comes to fruition—and whether Beckham can recapture the form that once made him one of the most electrifying players in the league. For fans looking to rep their favorite stars, now is the perfect time to gear up with the latest performance apparel and throwback jerseys. Stay tuned for updates as this story develops.
