The Philadelphia 76ers are at home on Friday night as they host the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series.
For the 76ers, they enter Friday’s game coming off a victory on the road over the Celtics in Game 2 on Tuesday night behind big performances by V.J. Edgecombe and Tyrese Maxey to tie the series at 1-1.
Now Philadelphia will try to use home court to their advantage on Friday as they try to pick up a key victory over Boston to take a 2-1 series lead.
While the 76ers are looking to pick up a victory at home in Game 3 on Friday night, they may be without one of their star players due to injury.
For the 76ers, they have only one player listed on their injury report for Friday’s game as they have listed star center Joel Embiid as doubtful.
Philadelphia has listed Embiid as doubtful due to post appendectomy surgery recovery and he is expected to miss his seventh consecutive contest.

With Embiid likely to be sidelined once again in Game 3, Adem Bona and Andre Drummond could both continue to have larger roles while the 76ers will likely continue to rely on Maxey, Edgecombe and Paul George to carry the load offensively.
While Embiid is expected to miss Friday’s game, it does appear as though the star big man is nearing a return for the 76ers, which would be a massive boost for them.
Fans can catch Game 3 of the first-round series between the Celtics and 76ers from Philadelphia on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video.
