In a dramatic Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's nightmare season hit a new low as they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Monday—their sixth consecutive league loss. The Blues have now gone over nine hours (543 minutes) without scoring in the Premier League, a drought that was finally broken in heartbreaking fashion.

But amid the chaos, Brazilian forward João Pedro provided a moment of brilliance. Deep into stoppage time, the 22-year-old unleashed a stunning bicycle kick that flew past the Chelsea goalkeeper, ending the club's scoring drought and giving fans something to cheer about. It was his 20th goal of the season across all competitions, with 15 coming in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest, managed by Vitor Pereira, wasted no time asserting their dominance. Awoniyi opened the scoring in just the second minute, capitalizing on a defensive lapse. Moments later, he won a penalty after being fouled by Gusto, which Igor Jesus converted to make it 2-0 in the 15th minute. Jesus, the former Botafogo striker, now has 15 goals this season.

The first half took a concerning turn when a heavy collision between Zach Abbott and debutant Jesse Derry left both players requiring medical attention. The delay lasted 15 minutes, with Derry coming off worse and forced to leave the pitch.

Chelsea had a chance to pull one back from the penalty spot after a foul on Palmer, but Forest goalkeeper Sels made a crucial save to preserve the lead. Awoniyi then struck again in the 52nd minute, making it 3-0 and effectively sealing the win.

The match saw further injury scares, with Gibbs-White and Robert Sánchez both substituted after another heavy collision. João Pedro thought he had scored in the 73rd minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside. His bicycle-kick stunner in the 93rd minute was a consolation, but it couldn't mask Chelsea's ongoing struggles.

For Nottingham Forest, this victory was a massive boost as they prepare for their Europa League semifinal second leg against Aston Villa. They currently sit 16th in the Premier League with 42 points, six clear of the relegation zone. Chelsea, meanwhile, remain in freefall, with fans growing increasingly frustrated at the club's direction.
