Jim Miller is excited about the night he will call it a career.

Jim Miller has his sights set on a historic milestone before he hangs up his gloves for good. The UFC veteran, who just turned 42, is planning to fight until 2027 to reach an incredible 50 bouts inside the Octagon.

Miller's latest victory came at UFC 328 in Newark, New Jersey, where he faced Jared Gordon in a lightweight showdown. The fight didn't last long—Miller locked in a guillotine choke in the first round, forcing Gordon to tap out. This win added to Miller's already legendary resume: he now holds the record for the most fights in UFC history (47), most wins (28), and most guillotine submissions (6). It also marked his 20th UFC finish, putting him just behind Charles Oliveira's record of 21 finishes.

With a career record of 39-19, Miller, known as "A-10," is aiming for one more fight in 2026 before reaching his goal of 50 UFC fights in 2027. After that, he plans to retire. In a post-fight interview, Miller shared his excitement about the end of his career, saying, "Another one this year, and then I can bang up those next few in 2027 and be done, hang them up, leave the gloves in there. It's weird, I don't know how many other athletes feel this way, but I'm excited for that moment. I'm excited for that fight. And I don't want something to happen to steal it away from me, where I know that it's gonna happen."

For fans of the sport, Miller's journey is a testament to longevity and grit. As he inches closer to that final fight, it's a reminder of the dedication it takes to compete at the highest level. Whether you're gearing up for your own training or just a fan of the game, Miller's story inspires us to chase our goals—one round at a time.
