The New York Jets have officially bolstered their receiving corps, signing veteran wide receiver Tim Patrick on Thursday. The move adds a seasoned playmaker to a promising young group, as the Jets continue to shape their roster for the 2026 season.

Patrick, who visited the team and agreed to terms on Wednesday, brings a wealth of experience to the Jets' offense. He'll join rising stars Garrett Wilson, first-round pick Omar Cooper, and Adonai Mitchell at the top of the depth chart, giving the team a dynamic mix of youth and reliability. Last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Patrick recorded 15 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games, showcasing his ability to find the end zone when called upon.

Before his stint in Jacksonville, Patrick built a solid career with the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos, amassing 176 receptions for 2,403 yards and 15 touchdowns. His journey from undrafted free agent to trusted target is a testament to his work ethic and resilience—qualities that could prove invaluable in a competitive AFC East.

To make room on the roster, the Jets waived undrafted rookie kicker Will Ferrin. Ferrin, who signed with New York after going undrafted this year, played collegiately at BYU and Boise State. The move underscores the Jets' focus on strengthening their offensive weapons as they gear up for training camp.
