Breece is ready to be part of the rebuild.

The New York Jets have long been searching for stability, and with running back Breece Hall now locked in long-term, the franchise appears to be building something real. Hall, coming off his first 1,000-yard season in 2025, is embracing his role as a cornerstone of the team's future under second-year head coach Aaron Glenn.

"Honestly, just the fact that they brought a proven veteran in like Geno [Smith] and then we drafted some really good guys … let me know that, OK, we're really trying to build something here," Hall said via NFL.com. "It definitely meant a lot for me because they showed me and told me that they wanted me to be a part of this thing, so I'm definitely happy to be here."

Hall's new deal signals that the Jets see him as more than just a running back—he's a focal point of an offense that also features quarterback Geno Smith and wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Together, this trio has the potential to elevate New York's attack to new heights, but the ground game will be critical. A productive run game takes pressure off Smith and opens up opportunities for the entire skill group.

After decades in the NFL wilderness, the Jets are showing signs of a purposeful rebuild. Year 2 under Glenn is shaping up to be a defining chapter, and fans are eager to see genuine progress. Hall's performance will be a major factor in how quickly the Jets climb the AFC ladder.
