In a candid moment that's resonating across the NBA, Cleveland Cavaliers head coach JB Bickerstaff didn't hold back when addressing the recent firing of Orlando Magic coach Jamahl Mosley. "Organizations obviously have the right to make their choices," Bickerstaff said, before adding, "I feel like this is a wrong choice, to be honest with you."

Bickerstaff's defense of his colleague was both passionate and pointed. He highlighted Mosley's remarkable turnaround of the Magic franchise, transforming them from a lottery-bound team into a consistent playoff contender. "Jamahl did a heck of a job of taking that organization and that team from lottery to playoff team, year in, year out," Bickerstaff noted, emphasizing the magnitude of the achievement.

What makes Mosley's success even more impressive, according to Bickerstaff, is the adversity he faced. "I don't think there's been a team whose star players have been injured more than his star players were injured," he said. "For him to be able to hold the ship down and make it to the playoffs year in, year out says a lot about his ability to coach team, build character, develop players, and create culture and environment."

In a league where coaching stability is increasingly rare, Bickerstaff's words serve as a reminder of the human side of the game. He expressed confidence in Mosley's future, predicting a swift return to the sidelines. "I know he'll get a job, and the next job, whatever franchise he goes to will be better off for it," Bickerstaff concluded.
