In Saturday's loss against the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves sharpshooter and former 2021 NBA Champion Donte DiVincenzo tore his Achilles. The injury looked eerily similar to the one suffered by former Duke star Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics in last year's Eastern Conference Semifinals versus the Knicks.
Following Sunday's game, Tatum was asked about the injury and pledged to offer DiVincenzo all the support he needs.
"My thoughts and prayers have been with him," said Tatum. "I'm going to be a resource; I'll reach out to him. He has me in his corner whether he likes it or not."
Known for making a fully healthy recovery rather quickly, Tatum will certainly be able to provide DiVincenzo with helpful encouragement and advice.
