From the moment Jayson Tatum stepped foot back into the Boston Celtics' rotation, they've looked like championship contenders. Joe Mazzulla's team was already proving itself as one of the stronger rosters in the Eastern Conference, yet with Tatum, they've seamlessly reentered juggernaut territory.

Not only do the Celtics now have an elite decision-maker initiating the offense, they also have one of the best rebounding forwards in the league and another high-gravity scoring threat. When Boston leans into a five-out offense, defenses are forced to bend to near breaking point, as we saw with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, April 19.

Furthermore, Tatum has added size to the Celtics defensive unit. He hasn't lost any timing, either, making smart digs toward the ball and timing his rotations to near perfection. With this in mind, "The Deep 3" YouTube channel recently produced a video detailing why Tatum has elevated the Celtics back into being a genuine contention-level team.
