After a tough playoff exit to the Philadelphia 76ers, Brown's post-game comments—and a cryptic stream—had fans and analysts wondering if the All-Star wing was ready to move on. Some even floated the idea of a blockbuster trade for Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
But Brown is hitting back at the noise. In his latest live stream, he directly addressed the swirling rumors and made a point to clear the air with Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens.
"I hate that our president of basketball operations even had to respond to this. Me and Brad have a great relationship. I love Boston. If it was up to me I could play in Boston for the next 10 years," Brown said, per Celtics on CLNS.
That sounds like a player committed to the green and white. But not everyone is convinced. First Things First co-host Nick Wright remains adamant that Brown's days in Boston are numbered—and that a trade for Giannis could still be on the table.
"It is more likely than not that Jaylen Brown is not on the Boston Celtics next year," Wright stated, proposing a deal that would send Brown and the Celtics' first-round pick to Milwaukee for Antetokounmpo.
On paper, it's a tantalizing swap. But let's pump the brakes. Brown and Jayson Tatum have been the engine of a Celtics team that won a championship just two years ago and has reached the Eastern Conference Finals five times since Tatum's rookie season in 2017-18. That's a track record few duos can match.

But breaking up a proven core over one bad series seems premature, especially considering Tatum was still recovering from a torn Achilles suffered just 10 months earlier.
