The Boston Celtics' front office is pushing back hard against any notion of internal discord with Jaylen Brown. Team president Brad Stevens made it crystal clear this week that the All-Star forward hasn't voiced any "frustrations" about the organization, directly refuting claims made by NBA legend Tracy McGrady.

Just days after Boston's first-round playoff exit at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers, Stevens addressed the brewing speculation head-on. When asked about McGrady's recent podcast comments suggesting Brown harbors deep-seated issues with the franchise, Stevens didn't mince words. "He has not expressed those frustrations to me," Stevens stated firmly, adding that their conversation on Monday was "nothing but positive."

The timing of this controversy is worth noting. Brown has been in the spotlight since his playoff elimination, largely due to comments made during a Twitch livestream where he called out Joel Embiid for flopping. That remark earned him a $50,000 fine from the league for "public criticism of the officiating." But according to Stevens, that's where the drama ends.

"We've been here 10 years together, and I do think that — obviously I love JB," Stevens shared. "Everybody around here loves JB, and I think — just like any of our other guys, as we get to the end of the season — I'll be here, and my door is always open."

McGrady, who has served as a mentor to Brown, had stirred the pot earlier this week on his podcast. The Hall of Famer speculated that Brown might feel underappreciated after leading the Celtics to the No. 2 seed while Jayson Tatum spent most of the season recovering from a torn Achilles. "I think his frustration lies deeply within the organization and other things that we don't really have the details to," McGrady said. "It's just been a lot of stuff that I've been hearing just going on with the Boston organization with JB."

For now, Brown hasn't made any public statements to support McGrady's claims. And Stevens is leaving no doubt about where things stand. Whether it's a simple misunderstanding or something more, the Celtics' top executive is making sure everyone knows the lines of communication are wide open. As the offseason begins, all eyes will be on Boston to see if this story fades away or gains new life.
