Jake Paul Casts Doubt on Boxing Future With New Jaw Injury Update

Jake Paul, the YouTube sensation who turned professional boxing upside down with his celebrity matchups, is now hinting that his time in the ring might be over. In a recent update on his jaw injury, the 29-year-old fighter left fans wondering if he’ll ever lace up the gloves again.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Paul opened up about the damage he suffered during his bout with Anthony Joshua in late 2025. That fight, which already made headlines, left him with a broken jaw—and now, the healing process is raising serious questions about his future.

“I’m getting some new scans here in a couple of days of the jaw to get an update on the healing process. We’ll see what my doctors say,” Paul explained. He added, “I think I’ll be able to get a more accurate time frame or, you know… can I even fight again? That is definitely in the realm of possibilities.”

While Paul noted that his jaw feels better with each passing week, he’s far from a full recovery. “I definitely need to get cleared first to be able to spar, but I’m sort of staying in shape… I’m always in the gym pretty much regardless,” he said.

When pressed on whether his boxing career could be finished, Paul didn’t shy away from the truth. “Yeah. No, most definitely. I think it just depends on how the bone heals. And then also there’s a tooth missing here. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to get an implanted tooth of some sort. I don’t know how much time that’s going to add to things, but we just have to see and figure out what the smartest thing is for me.”

Despite the uncertainty, Paul insists he’s not ready to hang up his gloves just yet. He believes there’s still unfinished business in the ring, with more fights on the horizon. However, not everyone is on board. Paul revealed that his doctor, Arman, has advised him against fighting again—a sobering reality for a fighter who has built a career on defying the odds.

For now, fans will have to wait for the next scan results to see if Jake Paul’s boxing journey continues or if this injury marks the end of an era. Stay tuned—the ring might not be done with him just yet.
