The 2026-27 ECHL hockey schedule is out. When will the Jacksonville Icemen begin their new season at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

The Jacksonville Icemen are gearing up for a milestone season, and the 2026-27 ECHL schedule is finally here. As the team prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary, fans can mark their calendars for a Halloween home opener against the Atlanta Gladiators at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

The 72-game season kicks off on the road with four straight matchups, starting October 17 against the Savannah Ghost Pirates. But the real excitement begins when the Icemen return to Jacksonville on October 31, ready to battle through a grueling South Division schedule. With 36 home games spread from October through April, there's plenty of chances to catch the action live.

Familiar foes like the Florida Everblades, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, and Orlando Solar Bears will be frequent visitors, keeping the rivalry fires burning. The Icemen will face Orlando a whopping 15 times this season, while Atlanta and the South Carolina Stingrays each get 12 meetings. It's a packed slate of division clashes that should keep things intense all year long.

One of the more unique stretches comes in December, when the Icemen face division champion Florida Everblades in five straight games from December 11-19. That kind of back-to-back rivalry action is sure to bring out the best in both teams. Meanwhile, non-division visitors include the Kansas City Mavericks (Feb. 26-28) and the Greensboro Gargoyles (March 17 and 19), with the only road trip outside the South Division taking the Icemen to Toledo from March 5-7.

Game times are mostly set for 7 p.m., but keep an eye out for three Sunday afternoon starts at 3 p.m. and two special School Day games—November 3 against Savannah and February 11 versus Orlando—both at 10:30 a.m. With 26 Saturday games and 20 Friday night contests, there's a perfect slot for every fan's schedule.

Coming off a 2025-26 season that saw the Icemen finish fifth in the South Division and miss the playoffs for the first time in five years, this 10th season feels like a fresh start. The team will be hungry to return to postseason form, and this schedule gives them plenty of opportunities to prove it.
