Promoter Frank Warren lit up Ariel Helwani's show with explosive talk about this weekend's blockbuster heavyweight clash between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois, promising fans a night they won't forget. "I love it... Two massive, massive punchers. It'll be excitement," Warren said, hyping the showdown. "We call the show 'Don't Blink' and there's a reason for that... I expect from round 1 they get down on it and let their bombs go." For fight fans, this is the kind of raw, high-stakes action that makes heavyweight boxing so thrilling — a collision of power and pride that could end at any moment.

Warren also turned his attention to rising star Moses Itauma, revealing plans for the young heavyweight to fight at the O2 Arena on August 8. But the promoter didn't stop there, floating a daring idea: a warm-up bout against none other than Anthony Joshua. "If [Joshua's] got this warm-up fight coming up against this guy he's fighting — me, I'd love him to have the warm up fight against Moses. That would've been a great warm up fight and a good test for him." Warren even hinted at a dream matchup with unified champion Oleksandr Usyk, though he acknowledged the Ukrainian is currently focused on a bout with a kickboxer. "I haven't spoken with [Usyk] about it," Warren admitted, but the ambition is clear — he sees Itauma as ready for the biggest stages.

The conversation took a reflective turn when Warren addressed his fractured relationship with Turki Alalshikh, the driving force behind Riyadh Season. "Well, the last time I've seen him was at the show in Tottenham, Tyson's show. We sat together and said hello and shook hands and we watched the fight together... That's the last time I've spoken to him," Warren said, his tone measured. He acknowledged the success of their partnership — "Riyadh Season was a blast for me, I enjoyed it" — but noted that things have shifted. "I felt we were very close but we were renewing our deal to be involved in doing more shows there but it just didn't happen and that was it." Warren confirmed he's sent a letter to Alalshikh but kept specifics close to his chest, adding, "I can't really comment on any of that. I'd much rather keep my counsel to myself."

For boxing fans, this weekend's Wardley vs. Dubois fight is the immediate focus — a raw, explosive matchup that epitomizes the sport's unpredictability. And with Warren's promotional machine rolling on, the future holds plenty more fireworks, whether it's Itauma's rise or potential superfights on the horizon. As Warren put it, "You've got to keep evolving and moving on."
