The Ducks have a difficult task this spring to replace three offensive linemen, but OL coach A'lique Terry thinks the young depth has what it takes.

Replacing three starting offensive linemen is a daunting challenge for any program, but for the Oregon Ducks, it's a pivotal moment of opportunity. As the team navigates the final stretch of spring practice, all eyes are on the trenches, where a new generation of talent is being groomed to protect the quarterback and pave the way in the ferocious Big Ten.

The departure of tackles Isaiah World and Alex Harkey to the NFL Draft has left significant gaps on the line. While those veterans were crucial portal additions, their exit now clears the path for the highly-touted recruits Oregon has been patiently developing. Offensive line coach A'lique Terry is emphatic about this transition: “It’s about time for those guys; it's their chance now."

Terry's confidence stems from a deep and talented young core, including former four-star recruits like Fox Crader, Ziyarre Addison, and Zac Stascausky. These players represent the future of the Ducks' offensive front. "We evaluated really well," Terry noted, explaining that the strategic use of portal players over the past two seasons bought these young athletes critical development time. "That gives them still another 9-12 months to develop. And now that’s starting to pay dividends."

Fans got a promising glimpse of that future last season. Fox Crader, stepping in for an injured Harkey, made his first career start against USC and delivered an impressive performance, keeping quarterback Dante Moore clean in a decisive victory. His composure, even in the high-pressure environment of the College Football Playoff, signaled he's ready for a larger role.

The task ahead is immense. Last year's cohesive unit, nicknamed "The Law Firm," has seen some key partners depart. But in college football, reloading is the name of the game. With Coach Terry's guidance and a crop of athletic, hungry young tackles waiting in the wings, Oregon is betting that its investment in development will ensure the offensive line remains a powerhouse, not a question mark, when the season kicks off.
