For Michigan football fans eager for a glimpse of the future, the wait is almost over. The Wolverines' annual Maize vs. Blue spring game is set for this Saturday, April 18, kicking off a new era at the Big House. This intrasquad scrimmage marks the first public showcase under new head coach Kyle Whittingham, offering a crucial preview of the team's evolving identity and roster battles.

Mark your calendars and set your reminders: the action begins at 2 p.m. ET at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. For those who can't make it to the iconic venue, the game will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. Can't catch it live? BTN will also reair the game at 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, and again at 9 p.m. on Monday, April 20.

Admission to the stadium is free, with gates opening at 1 p.m. However, Coach Whittingham has already set expectations, noting that several established starters and key players will likely be held out of the traditional scrimmage. The focus will be on evaluating depth and giving new faces a chance to shine under the lights, so fans should anticipate a modified format and a heavy dose of tomorrow's stars.

If you're planning to attend, parking will be free on a first-come, first-served basis in university-owned lots around the stadium, which open at 7 a.m. Be advised that these are expected to fill quickly, and the usual game-day parking at the U-M and AAGO golf courses will not be available. Additional options include the Maize Lots on S. State Street, University Lots W32, W39, & W40 near S. Fifth Ave. & John Street, the Thompson Street Structure, and various City of Ann Arbor parking structures and on-street parking in select neighborhoods north of the stadium.
